Academic Explorers expanded our programs by opening a day care in Uniondale in 2021. With spacious classrooms, brand new equipment and curriculum materials, our experienced team of teachers offer high quality child care. We offer educational programs for infants & toddlers, preschoolers & pre-k children using the best curriculum for each group. Our Uniondale child care center also has state-of-the-art classrooms designed for children in grades K-6 to enjoy in our before/after school program.
UNIONDALE CHILD CARE PROGRAMS
Teachers support our babies learning how to crawl, walk, and play with developmentally appropriate activities.
Ages:
6 weeks - 2 years
For families that occasionally need child care when their regular child care provider is unavailable.
Ages:
18 months-12 years
Through dramatic play and interactive learning, social-emotional skills are developed in our preschool classrooms.
Ages:
2 - 5 years
Full time child care and fun-filled activities and field trips to give children a summer camp experience.
Ages:
6 weeks - 12 years
Free meals and snacks, outdoor play, homework help, fun activities are included in our before & after school.
Grades:
Kindergarten - 6th
We provide pick up and drop off service to and from elementary schools for kids in our before & after school program.

Currently in pursuit of her Master's Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education, Ms. Shanese is a dedicated and experienced early childhood educator and program leader. She first discovered Academic Explorers as a parent seeking child care and a few years later landed a position within our administrative team. Ms. Shanese works diligently to maintain a safe, educational, and fun-filled child care program within our Uniondale location.
